Denis Manson‘s passion for aviation began at a young age thanks to his father’s influence. His father was a meteorologist and often took him to the airport, sparking a lifelong love of planes. While in high school, Denis naturally focused on technical subjects to prepare for a career in aviation. But unlike many aspiring pilots, he was less interested in flying the planes and more interested in learning how they work and how to fix them.
Denis admits that working for an airline was a very special dream of his and when the opportunity finally came along, he truly felt at home. After some time Denis eventually stepped into a new role, where he started training new personnel.
He found that helping younger people overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed with so much to learn in the aviation industry was incredibly rewarding. Although he admits that working in training isn’t a natural career progression in some parts of the industry, Denis loves the idea of sharing his knowledge, especially with younger people.
Aeroclass instructor also shared his excitement and sense of responsibility when marshaling an aircraft into a parking bay, as well as the thrill of learning a brand new aircraft’s systems and operation. Through our Expert Talk, it was clear that aviation is not just a job for him, but a true passion that has been a part of his life for many years.
Allow Denis to tell you more about his career by watching the full Expert Talk video. You can also learn together with him about aircraft engineering and its key aspects here.
