Aeroclass is pleased to reflect on the inaugural Forum for Aviation Safety Excellence recently held in Vilnius, Lithuania. Organized by our team at Aeroclass, with the invaluable support of our parent company, Avia Solutions Group, the event served as a significant milestone in fostering cross-sectoral collaboration within the aviation safety professionals.
Convened at the prestigious Aero City venue, the invitation-only Forum united experts and specialists from across Europe. Beyond informative panels and keynote addresses, the event’s hallmark was its extensive networking session. Here, representatives from airlines, aviation companies, and regulatory bodies engaged in fruitful discussions on pressing challenges and emerging opportunities.

The Forum had a great lineup of speakers and guests, including John Franklin from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Henrikas Armoska-Eismontas from Lithuanian Airports, representatives from various airlines, and other industry experts. Their collective insights emphasized the paramount importance of cultivating a safety-oriented mindset, investing in well-trained personnel, and maintaining robust infrastructure to uphold aviation safety standards. Through their contributions, attendees gained valuable perspectives on the multifaceted approach required to ensure the safety and integrity of aviation operations
This high-profile event underscored the imperative of anticipatory emergency planning and seamless coordination to address diverse scenarios effectively. The rigorous preparations and collaborative efforts involved in ensuring the summit’s security and logistical success exemplify the industry’s resilience and commitment to safety.
In addition, we were honored to feature a presentation on the NATO Summit 2023, a significant event of the year. Henrikas Armoska-Eismontas, Head of Emergency Planning at Lithuanian Airports, shed light on the meticulous preparations and execution of this high-profile summit. The presentation underscored the paramount importance of anticipatory emergency planning and seamless coordination in addressing a spectrum of potential scenarios, including aircraft incidents, ground-level threats, and natural disasters.
The summit’s intensive preparation, spanning nearly six months and involving close to 700 personnel, exemplified the commitment to ensuring the security and logistical precision of such monumental gatherings. The complexities of accommodating large aircraft, including Air Force One with its remarkable wingspan, posed unique challenges for local airports. As attendees reflected on the presentation, they gained insights into the intricacies of managing aviation operations during high-stakes events, reaffirming the industry’s dedication to safety and operational excellence.
Looking ahead, we are committed to organizing more events of similar caliber.
